Day 19 of riding,
Got up this morning headed out from St Robert Mo. A little over cast temp 62° but good riding weather. Very light wind from the south. Came across an old home along the way. Had to stop and take a couple pictures. About 20 miles out come across my last picture of an old Cafe! At this point started raining just a couple miles from a campground so headed there.
Staying overnight at Gasconade Hills Resort.
Camping along the Gasconade River. It has been raining lightly since I got here. Looks to be some heavy rain moving in. Going to go down by the river and maybe fish. Hoping store here has some night crawlers.
I did not pack to much of my fishing gear.
Will text more later as day go on.
Rained most of the day.
Couple things on my travels in Missouri.
Never knew they had Armadillo here! Have not seen any alive just alot of road kill!
I am amazed how many turtles I have seen trying to cross the road but of course end up road kill.
Going to call it an early night hopefully no more rain tomorrow.
Depends on weather how far I go!

    Virgil's Jerky Plus, this is Virgil and wanted to ask if the fish were biting? I also wonder if Armadillos make good Jerky? Ha. Want you to know have been following your travels. Stay well and be safe in your travels. Blessings

Good Evening All, Today we leave Shell Island Fish Camp. Trisha and I spent 4 nights here and we had a great time! We biked each day not far but keeping our legs conditioned. This morning had our coffee and I had a muffin with peanut butter on it. Trisha had oatmeal she made but put to much water in it. Liquid oatmeal so she threw it away. We loaded up and headed out for Tallahassee. Today was only a 20 mile ride. Weather was great slight wind in our face but nothing to hold us back. We get into town and going up a hill so I was down shifting and my derailleur broke and twisted all up. Unloaded my fear from the back rack so I could take chain off so I could push my bike the last mile and a half. Lucky for me the ace I'm staying is a bike shop. They will fix my bike while I come home. They will have 12 days to get parts in and fixed. Should be no problem. 2nd day

Today started off great with Rosa and Joe! Had bagels  cream cheese and coffee! Had a great morning! There dog Augusta Moon or Augie for short was alot of fun and energy. Got ready to head out but was reminded again about water bottles.  Both days I have forgot them but my friends asked if I had enough water of course say yes look and no water bottles in freezer.  After I got my water headed out hoping it would not rain on me. I stopped at Huntington Beach for about an hour then rode to my sister in Bay Village for a coffee break. Thanks Dawn. Left out of there easy ride to Lakewood. Stopped at a local bar had 2 beers till Taylor got home. Finished ride to Pat and Taylor's. Got in unpacked took a long shower. Taylor and Pat took me out to dinner! I got teriyaki boneless wings. Pat and  Taylor have a beautiful house. Pat has done alot of remodeling himself.  Will sit and have a nice evening in there home tonight.  Bear is a beautiful German Shepard.  Going to
