Day 17 of riding,
Started out about 6:30am! Planning on riding 48 miles today! 55 and sunny at day break. Rode fir 8 miles before I stopped and got breakfast and coffee. More rolling hills today with a head wind 10-15 mph! Thus made for a very slow ride.
Temps made it to the mid 80s today. Alot of sunblock today!
Got a couple of nice picture today! Would not of seen them if I was driving a car! I really like the one with the stone arch.
Looked to be pretty old.
World's largest Rocking chair with my bike under it was cool also.
Well thru the heat, rolling hills, and the head wind made my 48 miles to Rolla MO.
Kathy from warm shower host meet me let me in showed me around then she left to go back to a party she was at before I got there! Got my shower unpacked she came home a little while later to make me a wonderful dinner! Made a nice salad then organic chicken and vegetables to go with it!
Kathy and a friend of hers which I can't remember his name at the moment will be riding with me to get me started in the morning.  First she plans on making eggs and bacon for breakfast ! Truly wonderful people I've stayed with so far!!
Getting ready for bed looking to head out around 7:30..
Not sure h I w many miles o will ride tomorrow just depends on the terrain .
Still try to do 35 miles if possible!

Good Evening All, Today we leave Shell Island Fish Camp. Trisha and I spent 4 nights here and we had a great time! We biked each day not far but keeping our legs conditioned. This morning had our coffee and I had a muffin with peanut butter on it. Trisha had oatmeal she made but put to much water in it. Liquid oatmeal so she threw it away. We loaded up and headed out for Tallahassee. Today was only a 20 mile ride. Weather was great slight wind in our face but nothing to hold us back. We get into town and going up a hill so I was down shifting and my derailleur broke and twisted all up. Unloaded my fear from the back rack so I could take chain off so I could push my bike the last mile and a half. Lucky for me the ace I'm staying is a bike shop. They will fix my bike while I come home. They will have 12 days to get parts in and fixed. Should be no problem. 2nd day

Today started off great with Rosa and Joe! Had bagels  cream cheese and coffee! Had a great morning! There dog Augusta Moon or Augie for short was alot of fun and energy. Got ready to head out but was reminded again about water bottles.  Both days I have forgot them but my friends asked if I had enough water of course say yes look and no water bottles in freezer.  After I got my water headed out hoping it would not rain on me. I stopped at Huntington Beach for about an hour then rode to my sister in Bay Village for a coffee break. Thanks Dawn. Left out of there easy ride to Lakewood. Stopped at a local bar had 2 beers till Taylor got home. Finished ride to Pat and Taylor's. Got in unpacked took a long shower. Taylor and Pat took me out to dinner! I got teriyaki boneless wings. Pat and  Taylor have a beautiful house. Pat has done alot of remodeling himself.  Will sit and have a nice evening in there home tonight.  Bear is a beautiful German Shepard.  Going to
