I wanted to get an early start to beat the heat. I started out a little after 4 am. Rode down to the gas station to get some coffee and something to eat but they were closed.
Turned on my head light and headed down the highway! Rode 20 miles till next gas station but it did not open for another 26 minutes so I waited. Got my coffee and a muffin and yogurt. Once the sun came up it got hot fast. Got done eating headed out again. I thought I would have to ride another 38 miles before there was a hotel but after riding a total of 38 miles there was a Hotel and Casino that I decided to stop for the night.. Today's ride was mostly uphill with a head wind then the heat. I will have a 27 mile ride tomorrow so on my way to the next stop I will be able to stop at the bike shop for a quick maintenance check before I get to the desert.
Have a couple pictures from the sunrise this morning and a couple pictures of the scenery. I also post one of myself from today.
Calling it a night and want to get an early start .
