Day 37 of my journey riding,
Came across another cyclists heading to the east coast! He is from France, Jean - Paul Klein. This is his 7th trip across the US and Canada. He is in his late 60s and continues to ride. I am impressed and encouraged!
Rode 39 miles today to just outside of Amarillo.  Took off tomorrow to regroup.  4 straight days of riding. Have to find a bike shop for a new mirror. My bike fell over the other day and the mirror broke. Maybe try and get a ride to Walmart tomorrow they might have one. Plan on having a nice steak tomorrow in Amarillo at the steak house there.
The weather was cool this morning when I headed out. Warmed up rather quickly tho.
Look to be in New Mexico on Tuesday!  Finding places to camp or stay will be quite difficult.  Might have to do some stealth camping a couple days.
Glad Jennifer is well! Granddaughter Taylor off to camp as a councilor for the summer.
Grandson Dakota plans on staying at Kent for the summer and working. Even if I was home would not see anyone. But I sure do miss them!
Looking forward to making it to Santa Monica and visiting my niece Rachel!

Good Evening All, Today we leave Shell Island Fish Camp. Trisha and I spent 4 nights here and we had a great time! We biked each day not far but keeping our legs conditioned. This morning had our coffee and I had a muffin with peanut butter on it. Trisha had oatmeal she made but put to much water in it. Liquid oatmeal so she threw it away. We loaded up and headed out for Tallahassee. Today was only a 20 mile ride. Weather was great slight wind in our face but nothing to hold us back. We get into town and going up a hill so I was down shifting and my derailleur broke and twisted all up. Unloaded my fear from the back rack so I could take chain off so I could push my bike the last mile and a half. Lucky for me the ace I'm staying is a bike shop. They will fix my bike while I come home. They will have 12 days to get parts in and fixed. Should be no problem. 2nd day

Today started off great with Rosa and Joe! Had bagels  cream cheese and coffee! Had a great morning! There dog Augusta Moon or Augie for short was alot of fun and energy. Got ready to head out but was reminded again about water bottles.  Both days I have forgot them but my friends asked if I had enough water of course say yes look and no water bottles in freezer.  After I got my water headed out hoping it would not rain on me. I stopped at Huntington Beach for about an hour then rode to my sister in Bay Village for a coffee break. Thanks Dawn. Left out of there easy ride to Lakewood. Stopped at a local bar had 2 beers till Taylor got home. Finished ride to Pat and Taylor's. Got in unpacked took a long shower. Taylor and Pat took me out to dinner! I got teriyaki boneless wings. Pat and  Taylor have a beautiful house. Pat has done alot of remodeling himself.  Will sit and have a nice evening in there home tonight.  Bear is a beautiful German Shepard.  Going to
