Rode to Santa Rosa

Got up this morning and the temp was 31°. Heavy frost on car windshield.  Hung out in camper till about 10:30. Temp was mid 40s. Headed out from campground and rode to Santa Rosa. This was a very nice ride slightly rolling to hilly. Rode 14 miles then rode back. Temp was mid 50s when done. 28 total miles today and felt great. When I got back unloaded the car and cleaned it out for the drive home starting Friday. Tomorrow plan on driving to Sonoma to hit some wineries before I leave on Friday. This has been a great experience for me. Next trip a my gear back on my bike. More miles covered and a simpler journey. Considering doing the Maine to Florida all along the East Coast.
Not sure if this year or next. Have alot going this year so next should work.
Trimmed my beard for my return home.
Just showered and doing my last load of laundry on the road. Looking forward to coming home. I have a lot to do the next couple months.
Best part of my trip this time was meeting up with my old neighbors the Grants.

Good Evening All, Today we leave Shell Island Fish Camp. Trisha and I spent 4 nights here and we had a great time! We biked each day not far but keeping our legs conditioned. This morning had our coffee and I had a muffin with peanut butter on it. Trisha had oatmeal she made but put to much water in it. Liquid oatmeal so she threw it away. We loaded up and headed out for Tallahassee. Today was only a 20 mile ride. Weather was great slight wind in our face but nothing to hold us back. We get into town and going up a hill so I was down shifting and my derailleur broke and twisted all up. Unloaded my fear from the back rack so I could take chain off so I could push my bike the last mile and a half. Lucky for me the ace I'm staying is a bike shop. They will fix my bike while I come home. They will have 12 days to get parts in and fixed. Should be no problem. 2nd day

Today started off great with Rosa and Joe! Had bagels  cream cheese and coffee! Had a great morning! There dog Augusta Moon or Augie for short was alot of fun and energy. Got ready to head out but was reminded again about water bottles.  Both days I have forgot them but my friends asked if I had enough water of course say yes look and no water bottles in freezer.  After I got my water headed out hoping it would not rain on me. I stopped at Huntington Beach for about an hour then rode to my sister in Bay Village for a coffee break. Thanks Dawn. Left out of there easy ride to Lakewood. Stopped at a local bar had 2 beers till Taylor got home. Finished ride to Pat and Taylor's. Got in unpacked took a long shower. Taylor and Pat took me out to dinner! I got teriyaki boneless wings. Pat and  Taylor have a beautiful house. Pat has done alot of remodeling himself.  Will sit and have a nice evening in there home tonight.  Bear is a beautiful German Shepard.  Going to
