Ride to Key West


Got up 6:00am. My sinuses still giving me issue!  Packed up and stopped by a cafe for coffee and a egg sandwich. Only a 17 mile ride to get to campground. Overall the ride went quick. Got to Boyds campground got set up and headed to the VA for my sinuses. Say for over 2hrs before anyone seen me. Nurse Comes out takes me back  does blood pressure and temp. Says the do not take walkins I need to.make an appointment.  Told her I'm leaving Sunday nothing we can do for you.. Would of been nice if they told me that when I got there instead of sitting 2hrs. When I left there rode around Key West!  Had someone take my picture at the southernmost part of the U.S.
Meet up.with Michael at Boyds campground. He will be heading back to Miami tomorrow. Plans on riding it in 3 days. Michael and I had dinner and a couple drinks before calling it a night. He plans on leaving early tomorrow. Enjoyed hanging and talking with him. To bad we did not doin b any riding together.
Having some sort of activities tomorrow and planning on watching it.
Will ride more around Key West! !

Good Evening All, Today we leave Shell Island Fish Camp. Trisha and I spent 4 nights here and we had a great time! We biked each day not far but keeping our legs conditioned. This morning had our coffee and I had a muffin with peanut butter on it. Trisha had oatmeal she made but put to much water in it. Liquid oatmeal so she threw it away. We loaded up and headed out for Tallahassee. Today was only a 20 mile ride. Weather was great slight wind in our face but nothing to hold us back. We get into town and going up a hill so I was down shifting and my derailleur broke and twisted all up. Unloaded my fear from the back rack so I could take chain off so I could push my bike the last mile and a half. Lucky for me the ace I'm staying is a bike shop. They will fix my bike while I come home. They will have 12 days to get parts in and fixed. Should be no problem. 2nd day

Today started off great with Rosa and Joe! Had bagels  cream cheese and coffee! Had a great morning! There dog Augusta Moon or Augie for short was alot of fun and energy. Got ready to head out but was reminded again about water bottles.  Both days I have forgot them but my friends asked if I had enough water of course say yes look and no water bottles in freezer.  After I got my water headed out hoping it would not rain on me. I stopped at Huntington Beach for about an hour then rode to my sister in Bay Village for a coffee break. Thanks Dawn. Left out of there easy ride to Lakewood. Stopped at a local bar had 2 beers till Taylor got home. Finished ride to Pat and Taylor's. Got in unpacked took a long shower. Taylor and Pat took me out to dinner! I got teriyaki boneless wings. Pat and  Taylor have a beautiful house. Pat has done alot of remodeling himself.  Will sit and have a nice evening in there home tonight.  Bear is a beautiful German Shepard.  Going to
