Badlands

Started out around 7:30 am yesterday from Sioux Falls to head out towards the Badlands. A little rain on and off thru the day but it was a great drive. Used my Senior lifetime pass for the National Parks. I wi get my 10$ worth in my lifetime from it.
Drove thru the Badlands sti am axed every time I come here! So beautiful!
This is Pam's first time out west. She is in Awe seeing everything. Droved thru park stopped alot to take pictures. Will post when done.
After we drove thru Badlands headed to Rapid City. Spending 3 nights at a KOA here. Today we head to Mount Rushmore. Will spend the day walking and sight seeing. Supposed to be partly sunny today. Tomorrow heading to Deadwood.
Just passing time till Sunday when we start our bicycling Yellowstone.
Hope to get in some riding before then  but will see. Very excited for this ride.

Good Evening All, Today we leave Shell Island Fish Camp. Trisha and I spent 4 nights here and we had a great time! We biked each day not far but keeping our legs conditioned. This morning had our coffee and I had a muffin with peanut butter on it. Trisha had oatmeal she made but put to much water in it. Liquid oatmeal so she threw it away. We loaded up and headed out for Tallahassee. Today was only a 20 mile ride. Weather was great slight wind in our face but nothing to hold us back. We get into town and going up a hill so I was down shifting and my derailleur broke and twisted all up. Unloaded my fear from the back rack so I could take chain off so I could push my bike the last mile and a half. Lucky for me the ace I'm staying is a bike shop. They will fix my bike while I come home. They will have 12 days to get parts in and fixed. Should be no problem. 2nd day

Today started off great with Rosa and Joe! Had bagels  cream cheese and coffee! Had a great morning! There dog Augusta Moon or Augie for short was alot of fun and energy. Got ready to head out but was reminded again about water bottles.  Both days I have forgot them but my friends asked if I had enough water of course say yes look and no water bottles in freezer.  After I got my water headed out hoping it would not rain on me. I stopped at Huntington Beach for about an hour then rode to my sister in Bay Village for a coffee break. Thanks Dawn. Left out of there easy ride to Lakewood. Stopped at a local bar had 2 beers till Taylor got home. Finished ride to Pat and Taylor's. Got in unpacked took a long shower. Taylor and Pat took me out to dinner! I got teriyaki boneless wings. Pat and  Taylor have a beautiful house. Pat has done alot of remodeling himself.  Will sit and have a nice evening in there home tonight.  Bear is a beautiful German Shepard.  Going to
