Good Evening All,
Got up and packed up and headed out of Rocky's campground. We had planned on riding 33 miles to Newport campground but Trisha found a different one about 6 miles away. So we ended up coming to Shell island Fish Camp. Small campground but beautiful scenery here. Camped right on the water. 10$ a night to camp. When we got here a gentleman asked if we wanted some pizza that they had some.
We thought they sold it here. Turns out they dont but the lady at the desk told us to help ourselves. She told us the gentleman earlier had bought it and left it for whoever. So we got free pizza. She found me a small fishing pole for me to fish with. Bought some live shrimp and was fishing in the channel and caught a nice size large mouth bass. I got 2 good size filets for dinner. The gentleman with the pizza let me borrow a knife and the person net to him cooked it on his grill. Very nice people here. So we shared our fish with them and pretty much called it a night after sunset. Looking to stay here 2-3 nights.
