Good Evening All My plan was to continue riding in January but after I got back to Tallahassee I was sick for a few days. Think might have a sinus infection so decided to come back to Ohio. Plan on scheduling Dr appt. Plan on heading back after the state wrestling tournament in march. Still looking on continuing my journey. Thank you all.

Good evening All, Just a quick blog. I am heading home till the 25th then back to Tallahassee to continue my journey. I might blog for Declans 1st Birthday party on Saturday then for the birth of Andy Smith and Amy Smith 3rd baby. Not sure yet if a by or girl but hope to be there for the birth of it if I can. Good Evening All, Today we leave Shell Island Fish Camp. Trisha and I spent 4 nights here and we had a great time! We biked each day not far but keeping our legs conditioned. This morning had our coffee and I had a muffin with peanut butter on it. Trisha had oatmeal she made but put to much water in it. Liquid oatmeal so she threw it away. We loaded up and headed out for Tallahassee. Today was only a 20 mile ride. Weather was great slight wind in our face but nothing to hold us back. We get into town and going up a hill so I was down shifting and my derailleur broke and twisted all up. Unloaded my fear from the back rack so I could take chain off so I could push my bike the last mile and a half. Lucky for me the ace I'm staying is a bike shop. They will fix my bike while I come home. They will have 12 days to get parts in and fixed. Should be no problem. Jerry Reynolds came to pick Trisha up and Trisha took us to lunch at Red Robin. Good Evening All, Woke up to 32° this morning! Welcome to Florida? It did warm up pretty fast. Fished till 10 but did not catch anything. Once the sun was up and we warmed up went for a 10 mile bike ride. We've ridden every day that we were at the fish camp. Heading to Tallahassee tomorrow. Only 20 some mile ride. I have a warmshowers host for 2 days then fly home. Trisha heads home tomorrow. Truly enjoyed her company from Trenton to here. This was her bicycle trip. I hope she will continue after I leave! Good Evening All, A very cool morning here in Florida. The temp this morning 38° and windy. Went in a boat house for coffee. By 11 am warm enough to ride into town to do laundry. After the laundry was done dropped it off at camp then road back into town to site see a bit. After visiting the Fort in St Mark's stopped in at Riverside Cafe for lunch. I had a burger for the first time in a long time. Trisha had the shrimp for lunch also good. After lunch rode back to camp. I did some fishing and Trisha did some reading. The lady here gVe me a little fishing pole the pocket fisherman. Caught the 8lb large mouth bass on it. Today caught a small large mouth bass on it maybe 2 lbs. Hooked a couple other fish but they broke my line. Also caught a catfish tonight. Overall a good day of fishing. Tomorrow will be our last day here. Saturday morning heading to Tallahassee for my flight home. Looking forward to seeing Pam and my family!!! Will try and post a couple pictures.
Good evening All, Today was a relaxing day. Showered this morning then road into St Mark's. Rode around town then out a bike trail to a liquor store and picked up a small bottle of Crown. Stopped at subway for lunch then to campsite to do some fishing. I had no luck tonight except crabs kept eating my shrimp I had for bait. Great day to relax but still got in 13 miles of riding. Not sure wha we will do tomorrow. Supposed to be cool most of the day. Fly out the 14th for home. Wi be home till the 25th kinda. Have a lot of family things going on while I'm home. Good Evening All, Got up and packed up and headed out of Rocky's campground. We had planned on riding 33 miles to Newport campground but Trisha found a different one about 6 miles away. So we ended up coming to Shell island Fish Camp. Small campground but beautiful scenery here. Camped right on the water. 10$ a night to camp. When we got here a gentleman asked if we wanted some pizza that they had some. We thought they sold it here. Turns out they dont but the lady at the desk told us to help ourselves. She told us the gentleman earlier had bought it and left it for whoever. So we got free pizza. She found me a small fishing pole for me to fish with. Bought some live shrimp and was fishing in the channel and caught a nice size large mouth bass. I got 2 good size filets for dinner. The gentleman with the pizza let me borrow a knife and the person net to him cooked it on his grill. Very nice people here. So we shared our fish with them and pretty much called it a night after sunse
Good evening All, This morning got up and the temp was 38°. Made coffee and oatmeal for breakfast. Got on the road 9am. It was a great day to ride. Slight wind behind us most of the day. We ended up riding 43 miles today. We are at Rockys campground in Perry Florida. Small campground but very nice bathrooms. Will be heading out tomorrow for Newport campground 30 some miles. Spend 2 nights there and go to the gulf. So calling it a night Good night God Bless
Good Evening All, Today was a day of R&R. We collected firewood and did laundry. Got our showers in and we adjusted Trisha seat on her bike. Tomorrow we bicycle to Perry to stay at Rockys campground. Should be a great day to ride. Temps in low 70°s. Riding about 40 miles. Hope to ride the next couple days. Good night God Bless
Good Evening All, Today was a cool morning for riding. Got up and packed up our camping gear. Loaded our bikes and headed out. Temp was around 50° but we had a headwind of 15-20 mph. My feet got cold on the ride. We got 18 miles in which took about 3hrs. The wind was that tough to ride in. Seen a couple Dsiry farms along the way. Seen a Southeast Milk truck along the way. The day stayed overcast most of the day. Time we got to the campground skys Cleared out . The campground had some flooding from all the rain. We did get a tent site with electricity and water. I got my tent set up and Trisha got hers up. We did have time for the Chicken Poo Bingo. You bet on a number then they let 2 chickens in and if it poops on your number you win. I won, chicken pooped o my number. But I had to split the pot because it also landed on the number next to it. I won 20$ and a medal. Trisha sang karaoke and she's pretty good. We headed to our tents after that. Temp supposed to be in the low 40
Good Evening All, Today we just hung out at Andrea's. Trisha and I did bicycle into town. 8 miles there and back. Rain came and pretty heavy at times. Will get up and pack up tomorrow and ride 33 miles to next campground. Right now riding 1 day and taking 1 day off. Taking it slow since I do not have to be in Tallahassee till the 12th. This also gives Trisha some rest time between days of riding. She is doing very well. Will update tomorrow. Good night God Bless
Good evening All , Today started back on my journey! Had a week off to visit with family and friends! Today Trisha and I bicycled 28miles. We did not get the panniers till late in the day so Jerry said he would drive the panniers and Trishas gear to Fort White where we would be staying with Jerry's sister Andrea. I was in Andrea's class in school. She was in the class if 73 Andrea Reynolds. Was nice to sit and look at old class pictures. Right now the weather outlook for tomorrow looks like alot of rain. If it rains all day will say another night. After tomorrow the weather looks great. The ride today was awesome. Trisha did well for her second time riding over 20 miles. The last 8 miles I put 2 of my panniers on her bike so she would get a feel for what is to come. We got our tents set up then went to dinner with Howard and Andrea. Went to the town of High Springs and ate at the Great Outdoors Restaurant. Good food good friends. Thank you. So now we wait to see tomorro
Good evening All, Heading out tomorrow to Fort White Florida will be camping a Andera Reynolds from high school. I do not know her married name. Will find out when I get there. Also have Shirley [Lammy] Siberts daughter Trisha is riding with me to Tallahassee Florida. She got a bike yesterday and we picked it up and rode 23 miles. She did very well but had a sore butt. I changed out her seat with a bike at her house so we're ready to go. The ride tomorrow is 27 miles. Will be able to ride slow to get her acclimated to road riding. Lammy and Jerry have been great host to put up with me for a week and celebrating New Years with them. Pam, I and Heather had a great time. Will post pictures tomorrow after our ride.
