Pappy Smith's Adventure Continues

Headed out this morning on Little Miami River Trail today. Road South from where I'm at 25 miles. About 12 miles out meet up with Henry Lim from Korea. He is heading to Santa Monica California.  So we rode together and talked along the way. Rode 13 miles with him. He quit his job in Korea to come here and ride. What an awesome experience he is going to have! This will be worth coming to the U S for.  25 miles out stopped for a break and for me to turn around and head back. Before heading back gave Henry a energy bar and we took a break to eat and drink before we both went on our way. I told him to let me know if he needs help finding a place to stay. I will try to help him out if I can. Plus I have better Internet service to contact warmshower host for him. After I left him rode 25 miles back to hotel. What a great trail to ride on. 1 more night here then on to Columbus. Plan on doing 20 mile ride going north tomorrow before heading to Columbus. Easter week looking forward to go

Had a great day with Geno, Peggy and there son Mario. Geno said a morning prayer to start the day. Peggy made steak and eggs for breakfast. Got to hang out with Peggy for a bit before leaving. Drove to Genos Dental office before leaving. Geno showed me around the office and introduced me to his staff. His staff really likes working for him! Headed out to Tennessee to stay with Mariana, Eli and family. Got to sit and have with Mariana and the kids. Eli came home later. Got up and Eli getting ready for work and the kids getting ready for school. Mariana made eggs,bacon for breakfast.  Also had bread and fruit. What a great family. I am truly blessed. Had a great time with Lammy (Shirley ) and family. Spent a couple days with them and had a wonderful time! Hope to visit again this winter. Left out from Shirleys around 8:30 heading to Georgia to visit with Geno Saponari! Arrived at Genos around3:30. Geno and Peggy pulled in right behind me! They have a beautiful place! They gave me a tour of there property.  WOW. What a great place to live!!! After taking me around the property outside took me on a tour of the house there building. What a beautiful home it will be when it's done! They both have a great vision of what they want in it . Meet there son Mario. I believe 10 grade. Very polite young man! Peggy made steak, baked potatoes and mixed vegetables for dinner. What a great meal. I have been so blessed being able to visit and stay with childhood friends on this journey!  I have enjoyed my time talking with Geno and Peggy.  I love all the different animals they have, peacocks, ducks,geese,cows,sheep,chickens,dogs and cats.

Got up and Pam and I had breakfast then went and rented her a bicycle to so we could bicycle around the Keys. Weather was absolutely beautiful!  Must of road around 20 miles today. We stopped and toured Ernest Hemingway home. Stopped at Willy T bar for a drink and listen to Dallas Doctor singing! Will try and post video. Rode back to hotel Pam went swimming I took a nap. Got up and drove back to Key West so we could watch the sunset. Have some great photos to post. Good night God Bless

 Got up and packed up. My neighbor made me coffee and eggs for breakfast.   Spending the next couple days in Key West. Plan on bicycling around the Keys the next couple days. Today they had a 0, K race across the Cow Channel Bridge which is only 300Ft. A lot of cow costumes people dress up as. Will be posting pictures.  Dinner at sunset at Sunset Pier Bar. Got up this morning to a beautiful sunrise! Michael stopped by for coffee and oatmeal. After breakfast said goodbye to Michael as he heads back to Miami then home to France! Enjoyed our time together even tho we did not ride many miles together. We had dinner a couple times and a few drinks also. Hope to stay in touch with someone who likes to ride also! Safe journey Michael! ! Rode around Key West today and stopped at Sloppy Joes for lunch and a couple drinks. Very very hot and muggy today! Tomorrow is the Cow Bridge Race. 300 feet  across. More of a party then anything else so I'll be there being entertained. Laundry today. Calling it a night Good night God Bless
