Pappy Smith's Adventure Continues

Good evening All, Stayed at a Air B&B again. No response from an warmshowers again. Nice room with own bathroom. Today was a great day of riding. Started out around 8am and 49°. Warmed up quickly to around 73. Got in about 22 miles before I stopped for lunch. Stopped at a Barbecue place. Very good! Also stopped at a couple of bike shops to have them look at my handle bars. My areo bars will not tighten up.  Have to get bigger handle bars for the bike to fit the areo bars.  Arrived Palm  Coast around 1pm. Staying at Air B&B again. The cost is less then camping! Put out 2 requests for warmshowers again.  Still have not heard back. If I dont hear by noon will set u another Air B&B. Should be at Ormond beach tomorrow night. That's it for tonight. Good evening All, My day started out cool around 39°. Stayed at an Air B&B in St John's. The room I stayed in was decorated all Marilyn Monroe. Beautiful home and great host. Started out around 9am. Following my map for bicycles. 3 miles down the road The road was closed. No way around so had to back track to where I started. So instead of a 24 mile day turned into a 32 mile day. Overall feeling good riding. I have another 32 mile day tomorrow before I take a day off. Will be in Palm Coast Friday afternoon and all day Saturday. The weather is slowly warming up. Tomorrow should be in the 70s. Good night God Bless

Good Evening All, Started my ride today with temps in the 30s. Took a little detour and rode to St John's.  Spending the night here then back to St Augustine to a Hostel for the night. Riding to Palm Coast on Friday. Spending Friday and Saturday night there. My girlfriend Pam has been a big help getting Air B&B lined up. Warmshowers have not come thru at this time. Rode 24 miles today! Longest I've ridden in months. Felt great to be back out riding. Hope the weather warms up as I go south. I am blessed to be able to continue riding after all the surgeries this year! Thank you to a my family and friends for there support. Love to All Good night God Bless

Good evening all, I will be starting my new adventure tomorrow! This has been on my list of things to do since my Rt 66 ride. My plan is to start my ride in Jacksonville Fl then bicycle the perimeter of the United States.  Plan on getting back to Ohio by September and waiting for spring of 2020 to finish.  So total miles should be around 9 thousand  till I get home. Pam and Heather decided to head home today! Raining out so not much for them to do for a day. I will miss Pam till she comes down after Christmas. My journey begins Thursday morning.  Riding to St Augustine about 28 miles away. A little more miles then I wanted but I think very do able. Cant wait to get back into my riding condition.
